     I am a wife, mother of 2, grandmother of 3 and an herbalist. You may wonder, like many do, what started me on this road. It was the death of a wonderful woman whom I've never forgotten but still hear in my heart calling my name in the oddest of moments. My mother who died way too young at 43, leaving 6 children behind. I began to believe there had to be a better way to nourish and heal the body that didn't involve radical procedures or expensive medications. When I had my own children, I realized that they needed...no...DESERVED to have a mother for as long as was possible. So began my quest.

 

    Eating healthy, using what was given us on this Earth. If we have to do is open our eyes and we shall see what is there for us to use. This has been a 30 year journey and if I live another 30 years I will not know all I wish or all there is for us to know about herbs. But hang with me and perhaps I can give you the tools to learn what you need to know for todays cruel and craaazy world. In return, I shall hope to learn from you.

    Imagine being brought up with an herbalist as a mother. When you'd sprain your ankle, she'd run at you with a poultice and essential oils...sniffle? Herbal Snuff. Cough? Marshmallow Cough Syrup. Cold? Echinacea Tincture. Bug Bite? Plantain Salve. For years, I fought it..tooth and nail fought it. Then she approached me about starting her business and enlisted my help. So started my quest. I find myself researching, studying all kinds of things. I'll call her and ask did you know this herb helps with this? Or maybe this herb would be more effective in this salve than that one.

   She just laughs to herself and looks at me with love. I know she's thinking to herself, "Thank God my child is learning to take care of herself and she will pass on this information when she has children." I am personally having a blast doing this with my mother, who I hope to have for a long time.
